Got stoves double oven, oven not heating up - Stoves Newhome ECH600MXa Electric Kitchen Range

Check and see if you have blown a fuse which is usually in the top of the stove in the area of the clock if you have one. You usually can get in from the back of the stove at the top.

YOU NEED A NEW CONTROL MODULE, THAT PANEL IS A COMPUTER BOARD AND DOES BREAK. EITHER FROM HEAT EXPOSURE OR CLEANING SOLVENTS

On the main oven, does the circulating fan at the back of the oven start to rotate when you switch it on and does the fan oven neon illuminate as well.
For the top oven, the heating element is not very big so the oven takes a long time to warm up. Does the top oven neon illuminate when you switch this on as well?

I suspect that the oven element has failed, to check this, remove cover at rear of oven compartment, there you will see the round oven element, it should feel hot after turning oven on to heat, if it is cold, replace it.

you have no heat at all? K, pull stove out and check how many volts you have should be 240. Your elements work off 240 if you only have 120 coming to stove the lights will work jujst not your heat. You should have a double pole 40amp breaker If you only have 120 change the breaker

your convection element has blown by one online and replace it yourself

I have an O'Keefe & Merritt double oven gas stove. The model number is 72 7242 23. The upper oven is about the size of a large microwave and sits above the range burners. The lower (full-size) oven is below the burner unit and includes a broiler draw below it.
So, when you say, double oven, I wonder if you are just talking about the main oven with broiler drawer (both of which are below the burner unit.)

Mine was a builder-supplied appliance in the new house we purchased in 1986. The upper oven has never performed very well. And, yes the upper oven can only be used for baking.

I have an instruction manual for it, but it doesn't provide that much information. Getting parts for it is extremely difficult, since Tappan is no longer manufacturing this brand. (I've been trying to locate a flat oven ignitor for the upper oven and can't seem to find a replacement that's the same 6-1/3" length.) In the 1980s Tappan apparently purchased O'Keefe & Merritt and marketed this brand for several years. Models originally manufactured by O'Keefe & Merritt in the 1930s-1950s are considered collectible antique stoves!

there may be power but is it enough power??? if electric oven oid check you fuse box/ circuit breakers and physically reset the double breaker controlling the stove, perhaps one leg of power has dropped out
