I have a Tiger Shark Plus and when I turn it on, the impellor is moving but the unit won't move in either direction. Took it out of the pool and turned it on - there is clicking noise like some sort of plastic gearing is skipping as it tries to move the unit, but it doesn't move. Goes a few inches forward, then a few inches backward, and then repeasts that. The unit worked last fall and this is the first time I am trying to use it this year. Thoughts?? Thanks, Mike

SOURCE: removing pool pump impellor

Separate pump and motor. Remove diffuser. Remove back cover from motor. Motor shaft has either a slot for a screwdriver or a flat area for a wrench. Hold shaft and unscrew impeller.

SOURCE: Aquavac Tiger shark won't operate

The power supply powers on even when it doesn't output any voltage, so it's kind of misleading. You should have the power supply checked or you can do it yourself if you have a multi-meter, by measuring the output and making sure there is 24V.

SOURCE: my tiger shark pool cleaner

The pool cleaners impeller may be clogged or jammed with debris. Check and clean if necessary. The brush rollers or drive tracks could also be stuck. Check for debris and remove. It is most likely one of these problems if it is shutting off after only seconds of running. If these don't seem to be the problem, I would check your power source.

Was the store able to scan the motor to pull out operational info? Was it water tested prior to being returned to you? Perhaps the store will make accomodations to get it returned and repaired correctly?

Tiger shark just doesnt clean very well

I the filter is not very clean the pump will not push hard enough to hold the tracks onto the walls. Try running without filter in a very clean pool for a few minutes to see if it solves the climb walls replace the filter and clean the unit
