where do I find the 10uf/50 capacitor to buy and replace?

you can get a 10uF capacitor from any scrap board, but make sure it's the right working voltage.

10uF means it is 10 microfarads
the 50 bit means it is rated at 50 Volts.

I hope it works out for you ok, because Dell are a waste of time.
