Take all your product out of the freezer... Take the bottom half of the back panels off and you should see a FAN that could be covered with either ICE, or burned out. If it has ICE on it, take the ICE off. If the fan is not turning then the fan could be burned out. Read the voltage tag on the back of the fan and apply a known good voltage to the fan ( after you have removed it ). That will tell you if the fan is good or bad. Start there. You got to get the air moving to chill everything...
replace control board on back of unit there is a six by 10 inch cover on back your panel is in there cost aprox 169.00 dollers also replace bo0th thermisters bottem left of freezer looks like a white bullet the other is in fridge behind shelf trim located beside and underneath where the cold air blows into the fridge.
I would replace the evaporator fan, this fan problem is hard to diagnose because the fan will spin but not fast enough to circulate the chilled air thru the freezer and the refrigerator. The minimum cost to repair/replace is around $300.00
Sounds like the condenser fan motor is either jammed or has failed. if you wil pull the refrig from the wall and remove the lower compartment cover you will see the fan I'm reffering to as well as the condenser coil and compressor. if the fan has failed you can put a house fan blowing into this compartment to keep the unit operational until you can get it repaired. thanks for using FixYa Peyton
Just had mine with the same problem fixed today,it was the main board on the rear of the fridge, common problem with these models told by the tech.
I believe you can get a free board fom ge but you pay labour
