No power output from my porter cable 6500 watt brushless alternator i need a manual or wiring diagram i know i can fix it its just figuring out what everything does and how to test it

Overhaul the carb, make sure the float hasn't sunk and see that the brass valve attached to it is sealing completely in it's seat.

red and black are power or hot wires white is netrual and green ground need a little more input ,good luck

If you have a voltmeter, you can check the voltage coming out of the outlet. If you have some kind of residual voltage, such as 25 Volts AC or 10 volts ac, then you probably have a voltage regulator problem and your regulator will need to be replaced. If you read 0 volts then you you have an open between the output (outlet) and the windings of the stator.

Hi, remove the electric control panel & check the wiring as sometimes we have seen the wires coming off the voltage change over switches.
Also some of these units you can check the connections in the rear of the alternator & if it has brushes that they are not stuck.
Another problem we have had is the trip switches have went faulty but still switch operates ok, they need to be checked with a probe type tester for conductivety.
