IM TRYING TO WIRE A PIONEER DEH-5 TO MY STOCK WIRES IN MY 1996 VOLKS JETTA. I CHECKED OUT THE WIRING DIAGRAM ON THE JETTA AND SOME OF THE WIRES DID NOT MATCH UP,LIKE FOR INSTANCE THE SWITCHED WIRE ON THE DIAGRAM SAYS THAT ITS THE ORANGE WIRE BUT IN THE CAR THERE ARE TWO ORANGE WIRES ONE WITH A RED STRIPE AND ONE WOTH A WHITE STRIPE SO IDK. THE OTHER ISSUE IS THAT IF I HOOK UP THE CONSTANT POWER AND THE GROUND WIRES FROM THE CAR TO THE HEAD UNIT. IT SHOULD TURN ON CORRECT OR AM I FORGETTING SOMETHING?

Hi, the plain orange wire is the power wire. The constant wire is only for maintaining the station presets--it does not power the unit on. The other orange wires are for speakers. See the full color code below, and let me know if you have any more questions.

Wiring A Pioneer DEH P6400

If the factory harness is still in tact, you can buy an adapter at Best Buy for about 20$ or ask to see one and write down the pins and wires then match it up and cut n splice to your new deck. Hope this helps

Can not find a wireing diagram for a pioneer DEh-p2600

Pioneer follows the universal after-market color code, so if your CD player was made in the last ten years or so, the wires should go like this:

Yellow: Constant +12VDC (memory)
Red: key-switched +12VDC (accessory)
Black: Ground
Blue/white: amp remote or power antenna output

Speaker wires: The solid-color wire of each pair is positive; the black-striped wire is negative.

Left front: white
Right front: gray
Left rear: green
Right rear: violet

Hope this helps!

Kenwood ks-122 in-dash car stereo/cd changer

For your Jetta, you may need a different wiring harness.

You need to be able to trace the wiring from the two dins on the back of the Kenwood receiver, and une the wiring diagram for the 1996 Jetta.

Perform your cross reference here for the receiver wiring:
