I have an unknown graphics card and I need to identify it so I can download the correct drivers. It is using VGA Save at the moment and has no markings on it.

I assume you are using Windows XP. Windows has had a problem with your graphics driver (assuming you installed the correct one) and is defaulting to the basic VGA driver. You need to identify the graphics chipset. If you are using a separate graphics card plugged into one of the expansion slots then check for a model number on it. If you are using the on-board graphics then the motherboard will have a model number. Then you can search on-line for the correct drivers. If you are using a plug-in graphics card then try removing it and re-fitting it.

Take this link to Nvidia. A scan will run automatically and identify your video card. You can then download the drivers for your card.

You need a new video card, your video chip does not support Windows 7 as noted near the bottom of this page.

The VGA driver can be downloaded by using either the Graphics Card or Mainboard model number. The Processor doesn't need a driver to operate.

Use www.nvidia.com and go to driver downloads, then select the Graphics card information.
Now save and run the install.

go to start>programs>accessories>system tools >system information.

Go to this link and use the model number on the bottom of the machine to get the video drivers
