Question about Whirlpool GH5184XPQ Microwave Oven
Cooks fine. A few minutes after it completes cooking it loses power. Open and shut the door 1-5 times causes it to regain power. No agitation involved when power is lost. Verified cord is plugged in firmly, looking for advice before starting invasive troubleshooting.
It may be that the magnetron is overheating and causing the magnetron thermostat to trip.
The fuse may be loose in its holder or may have loose end caps.
If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.
There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.
