My Olevia 237-s12 TV won't turn on. When we push the power button, the blue power light flashes on/off repeatedly. We have unplugged the TV to reset the system but no change. Is it shot?

ok, does the entire TV shut off or just the screen?

u have a bad mainboard or power supply board most likely the mainboard

Usually that problem is appear after the firmware update failure or not completed,..

I need to know if your TV having sounds?

Did already update the firmware?if that so where did you find the firmware?..

my olevia a 232 s12 2nd hand tv . gift from a relative wont power on .just had the blue light on.i was able to reset my 32 inch olevia by pressing and holding down the power button much like a computer to reboot.might work for you.

You can power scan for the code.
Turn ON the electronic device you want to program the remote to control.
Press the TV Mode button on the remote until the appropriate mode light is flashing.

Press the Power button. The mode light will stop flashing and stay lit.
Press the Up or Down arrow button to set the remote to the next code. The Down arrow button scans backward and the Up arrow button scans forward.
When the correct code is reached, the device (whether a TV, VCR, or other) will turn off.

Press the pound key button to store the code in the remote control memory. If the code is valid for your remote, the mode light will blink 3 times.
Turn the device back ON by pressing the Power button.
Press sat mode key once you power back on the tv to be able to operate the receiver box.
Try some other functions to make sure you have the correct code. Occasionally the Power button may work when others do not.
If the other buttons work you are finished.

If the other buttons do not work, repeat the previous steps. The scan will resume from the last code stored.
The mode light will flash rapidly when the scan has returned to the starting point and all codes have been tested for that mode. The remote control may not control some device models.

change your power suply

It sounds like a bad power supply board. I have one in stock if you need one from a working set that has a broken screen. I'll send all boards for 100 dollars plus freight if you are interested. All boards include Power supply coard, tuner and internal lighting boards. Call me if your interested.
