its better use Kodak battery for you Kodak camera.FYI there's a lot of brand of AA battery like energizer, duracel and also kodak.if you compare the size or the height of all battery its totally different.especially the kodak are more taller than the other.thats why if you use other brand it works only 5 shots only or less.
Are you using alkaline batteries? I had the same problem -- my camera cut out after just a few pictures and when I tested the batteries they were practically full. But alkaline batteries, even 'super-heavy-duty' ones, aren't powerful enough for this job. You need better, preferable rechargeable batteries.
Is the camera LENs won't retract? Try to use a brand new different recomended batteries like alkaline batteries or lithium batteries. If your using a rechargable batteries make sure that they are fully charge. You can also try to turn the camera ON without using memory card. Remove the memory card on the camera. Then put a new recomended battery, try to turn it ON if the camera will not turn ON or stay ON call kodak support line. Support in English and Spanish is available at 1-800-235-6325 (23KODAK)
Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts,
or it could be something more serious and expensive. First try
removing the batteries and cleaning the camera contacts with a small
metal brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. If that doesn't fix the
problem, check the Kodak
Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A
format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
My Kodak camera will not come on..... it is hardly used and NEVER abused..... I fixed mine by calling Kodak Tech support and listening to their **** about i can send it in and get a refurb model for $ 110.95..... My fix, I went and bought a FUJIFILM S2550. Kodak level of quality sucks....
Remove the batterty andclean the internal battery contact with an eraser on the end of a pencil- take a flash light to look inside the compartment to enfure they are bright and clean. Make sure the battery door and contact srip are a good tight fit Hold the door down with a finger whilst switching on Other than that there is little moreyou can do
