Check All your wiring. Make sure you have a good clean ground connection, and that any inline fuses are good. Make sure the positive lead is hooked up and that any remote wires are connected to their sources.

hook power wire to positive side of baterry then to amp power fuse needs to be no more than 18 inches from battery fuse size differs due to wire size ground wire needs to be same size as power wire p.s. hook up ground & power wire before installing fuse hope i was helpful

If you sub is dual 4 ohm voice coil, you can get a 4000 watt amp (which will give you 1700 watts RMS at 2ohms). The model number is OW-BAMF40001D. Hope this helps.

How to replace power steering pump impala 2000,engine 3.4


1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt from the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.8 L.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
5. Remove the power steering pressure line from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement (3.8 L) or Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement (3.4 L)
6. Remove the power steering return hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (3.4 L) or Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (3.8 L)
7. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts from the power steering pump.
8. Remove the power steering pump assembly.
9. Remove the power steering pump pulley from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement.
10. Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle (CB Series).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the power steering pump reservoir to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle (CB Series).
2. Install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement.
3. Position the power steering pump assembly to the engine. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts. Tighten the power steering pump mounting bolts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the power steering pressure line to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement (3.8 L) or Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement (3.4 L).
6. Install the power steering return hose to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (3.4 L) or Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (3.8 L)
7. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.8 L
10. Fill the power steering system. Refer to Refilling the Power Steering System.
11. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System.
12. Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Refer to Steering and Suspension Leaks.
13. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
You may want to take it to the dealer or other repair shop. It is very difficult and will consume a major portion of your day.

How do i stop my jvc stereo from resetting, because every time i turn off my car every thing gets reset


There is a constant power wire and a switched power wire. The constant must be hooked up to a constant power (one that doesn't lose power when the car is off). Either the YELLOW or RED wire will be the 'constant on'. Or you can hook that one directly to the battery. The other power wire from the deck should be hooked up to the switched power (or plugged in with a fuse that turns on with the car). Voltometer is your friend here.

Pump the brakes!
You need to know the RMS power rating of the sub you are powering.
Dont exceed the RMS power rating of the sub by more than 25%.
If you see a peak power rating on either the sub or the amp, ignor it, means nothing. Always compare RMS ratings.
Example: a Sony 12" Xplod sub, boasting 1200 watts, will only handle, 350 watts RMS, so the amp you choose to power the sub should be 350 watts RMS as well, and should not exceed more than 25% of the RMS power handling (487.5 watts).
Bottom line, know your RMS numbers, not Peak.

About the Memory Wire:

The memory wire is Yellow and should be connected to the +12 V power terminal (which isenergized at all times). First besure to connect the black ground (earth) lead to a metal surface of the car.

Important…
>>Before making connections, turn the stereo unit and carignition off to avoid short circuits.
>>Connect the yellow and red power input leads onlyafter all other leads have been connected.
>>The power antenna (aerial) control lead (blue)supplies +12 V DC when you turn on the tuner.

Connecting the Sony CXS-GT08HP Car Stereo Unit

1. To a metal surface of the car

Wont come on


What won't come on? Is this a radio that won't come on or an amplifier? If it is a radio not turning on, check all radio fuses (both at fuse panel and under hood). If these are all good and the radio still doesn't turn on, then you'll need to remove the radio and check power behind it.
If you have an amplifier that isn't turning on, you need to first check power on the fused power wire coming from the battery. You can use a 12 volt test light (available from an auto parts store) to check for power at the amplifier power connections. Test the 12v constant power and then the 12v remote turn-on power. If either of these are out, check fuses on the main and make sure the radio is delivering 12 remote turn-on power. If you are still having difficulty, please see a professional car stereo shop. They will be able to diagnose the problem usually in less than 1 hour for a small troubleshooting fee. Hope this was helpful.
