Question about Sony Ericsson Z525a Cellular Phone

1 Answer

BLuetooth Failure Hello - I just bought two different bluetooth devices, and my particular phone seems to be dropping the connection with the head set. I took the first back thinking it was the headset, but found after purchasing the second with the same issues that it is probably the phone. My wife has the same phone, so I tried it with hers and it works perfectly. Is there anything that I can do to fit the phone?

I'm having the same problem as you.  I just tried turning off the phone and head set, restarting them, and then following these instructions exactly:   http://motorola-global-eng.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/motorola_global_eng.cfg/php/enduser/cci/bluetooth_pairing_instrctns.php?p_headset=4224&p_handset=4662&p_cat=744
Seemed to work.  For now...

How do connect to Bluetooth

Different phones have different menus or ways to access Bluetooth settings. Here's one example and you will of course need to have Bluetooth activated on the other device. It would be best for you to do a Google search for "connect (phone brand/model) to (other device name) bluetooth".

The bluetooth wont work on anythink

hello there, what is the make and model of your cellular device. Bluetooth permissions change from device to device, often enough only phone calls are allowed to be transmitted to other Bluetooth devices regardless of what type of device it is, if that's the only outgoing Bluetooth service your cell phone allows, this may or may not be the case we cannot even get into particulars because I do not know what type of device that you have also would like to know what did you do to try to connect, did you toggle the Bluetooth setting on, are you sure that the devices that you're attempting to connect to work, are you actually trying to use a service that the device offers? Is the phone new? Have you ever been able to use bluetooth?

Hello...i am using sony ericsson k550 i had a trouble in that i cant send any files through bluetooth my bluetooth is not working pls any one tell how to solve this prob

Make sure your phone and the other Bluetooth device are charged, switched on and within range of each other. Make sure Bluetooth wireless technology is turned on, and that the devices are set to be visible for other Bluetooth devices. Check that the two devices are paired, and have found each other. If there are still problems, you'll have to reset the connection and pair the two devices again.

In some Bluetooth installations, you must activate a COM port manually in your computer. This is done differently for different brands and models of Bluetooth devices. Please see the manufacturer's product documentation.

If a COM port is not activated

1. In many cases, you can right-click on your phone icon in the window where all found Bluetooth devices are shown, and select a 'COM port activation' item in the menu. Make a note of the COM port number of the activated port.
2. Open Sony Ericsson PC Suite and click Tools/Phone Monitor Options.../Com Ports. Enable the COM port you activated in step 1.
3. Keep the Bluetooth wireless technology turned on in your phone, restart the computer and try to connect again.

My nokia 7610 says unable to perform bluetooth operation

When you get an error "unable to perform Bluetooth operation", it means that one of the Bluetooth devices is not communicating correctly. It could be your phone, or it could be the Bluetooth device that you are trying to connect to. And that will depend on the device that you're connecting.

There's a possibility that the Bluetooth requirement of your device is not supported by your Nokia phone. Example, you are trying to pair up a Bluetooth handsfree car kit. "IF" the phone does not support the handsfree profile, then you will get this error message.

So, you need to make sure that your device and your phone is compatible with each other. Second, try to pair up the phone into different Bluetooth devices, like phones, headset, etc. Doing this will let you know if the Bluetooth on your phone is working or not. If it works with another Bluetooth devices, then the problem has something to do with the device that you are trying to connect to.

Thank you and good luck!

Pairing with a motorola bluetooth device

Hello, Barb.

Here are some instructions from the manual:

To set up a Bluetooth connection, do the following:
1. Select Menu > Settings >
Connectivity > Bluetooth.

2. To activate or deactivate the Bluetooth function, select
Bluetooth > On or Off.
Indicates an active Bluetooth connection.

3. To search for compatible Bluetooth audio devices, select
Search for audio enhancements and the device that you want to connect to the phone.
To search for any Bluetooth device in range, select Paired
devices. Select New to list any Bluetooth device in range.
Scroll to a device, and select Pair.

4. Enter the Bluetooth passcode of the device to associate (pair)
the device to your phone. You must only give this passcode when you connect to the device for the first time. Your phone connects to the device, and you can start data transfer.

Hope this helps.
