You can use Gasket cement that can be purchased at most home improvement stores to reattach the felt to the steel face of the dryer.. Hope that helps.

A piece of felt like material is hanging from the inside (top) front of the dryer. What is this? Can I fix it myself?

The felt is the seal that keeps the clothes from falling inside the dryer. The front of the dryer needs to be removed and the seal replaced (you can glue it back, but this usually means the seal is worn out)

GE DPSR483EA Electric Dryer was making a scraping sound when operating, now a felt like belt has come out on the inside of the dryer. what do i do? Kris Long

The problem is something got between the drum and the felt seal between the drum and the front of the machine. You will have to pull the front off and find out what caused the felt to come out and then put the felt back in place and put the front back on.

Replace the felt on a ge dryer part #we9m30?

You need to buy new felt. There is an upper and a lower piece. The upper piece has 3 glides to support the drum. When you buy the parts, make sure you have the dryer part number and there are some pictures that will help.

Make sure you uplug the dryer. Flip up the top lid of the dryer by sliding a large flat nose screw driver under the front corners of the top. Remove the front panel by taking out two phillips screws. Also remove the power cable to the front controls so you can completely remove the front panel. Strip off the old felt and clean the surface as good as you can. Glue on the felt (you should get a tube of glue with the new felt). Let is dry a bit before you put everything back together. It is a pretty easy job.

Maytag Dryer Mosel #MDE6700AZW

you will need to remove the front panel and the front bulk head. after that you will see that there are clips that need to be pushed down to hold the fabric (felt) down. You need to make sure that the felt isn't torn. If it isn't torn then all you need to do is take a flat head screw driver pry the clips up and put the felt back on and push the clips back down

Black marks on clothes

Your going to have to get service for this one. Chances are the rollers are gone and the black is coming from the rubber onto the felt and then transfering to your clothes.
