Question about Televison & Video

Tv sound fades in and out

Most of the time the sound is fine, some shows it gets really low then comes back up. Is this a signal or a TV issue? Seems to do it more when watching a DVR'd show unless that is my imagination.

Sounds like the signal. If you have anything else hooked up like a dvd player does it still happen? if not then it is your signal.

HOW CAN I IMPROVE SOUND LEVEL ON MY LAPTOP WHEN STREAMING TV SHOWS FROM INTERNET?

Buy a set of speakers that plug into your usb port. Try Tiger Direct at: http://www.tigerdirect.com

When the site comes up just type: USB Speakers for Laptop in the search box and type GO. When the results are returned sort them by Price Low to High. They are as low as $9.99.

Below is a link to the speakers directly.

My Vizio LCD TV screen fades to dark. Sound stays on.

I w having this same issue when watching a Blu-Ray disc. I found it to be dependent upon what picture mode the TV was set to. By this I mean certain picture modes would cause the TV to dim during dark scenes of a movie. Changing the picture mode helped a lot.

I have a sony Vega 55" kdf-e55a20, It is 3 years old, and now the picture and sound fade away for 10-15 sec every hour or so and comes back! Anyone knows what the problem is?

Hi,
Lamp is getting weak and TV shuts off and turns on itself because of weak lamp in TV that you see picture and sound fades away for some time until TV reboots.
Replace lamp in TV to solve this issue. Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual and its an easy work.
Please buy Sony original lamp for your Tv safety.
Thanks.

Records snow/static - intermittently

Intermittent problems like this really suck.
I have a simular problem on my Toshiba DVD recorder. Once in a while it just doesn't record anything at all.

Unfortunately, there really is no solution. It sounds like a glitch in the unit to me. Wether or not it's present in all the units of that model or just yours, only Panasonic knows for sure.

Sound

i think the Tv is Normal working. No need to replace the TV. the problem only in your audio processing circuits. Audio driving unit or Audio power amplifier IC might be faulty. You can replace this IC and get the real sound back. To do that contact authorised service personnel. all the best

LG LCD HDTV 'NO SIGNAL'

To fix the problem, try turning off the TV and unplugging it from the outlet. Once unplugged, push the power button and hold it down for 1 minute. Then turn the TV back on and rescan for channels.

If the problem persists, contact LG customer service immediately as there is a problem with the memory card. The device is unable to retain scanned channels for immediate feedback.

All LG LCD automatically comes with a 1 year manufacturing warranty. You would have to provide proof of purchase to show when it was purchased. Hope this helps. The Guru

When watching dvd having showing or fade background

yes it can be down to signal degradation especially via scart lead, make sure you use a decent scart if you buy an expensive one you can tell the difference. Run a cable from your sky digibox direct to your tv to see if the picture improves.
