Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

I have an LG 32LT75 the one with a built in PVR (DVR) I have good signal strenght through my digital ariel, however the freeview keeps freezing and locking up/blanking etc. To reslove this I have had to restore factory settings. This is okay once in a while but I've had to do this 17 times in 1 day (not good as a football fan!) it was purchased from Curry's and they have had serveral techs visit my property and I have had the main board replaced twice now to no avail. Is this issue something you have seen before and is there any known fix that can be done or should I just take my TV back and get a different type?

Every time I change the channel on this tv the picture will freeze. Sometimes for about 30 seconds, sometimes it doesn't come back. It doesn't sound too bad but it makes flicking through the channels impossible.

Just had our tv taken away for a firmware upgrade - seems to have solved the problem. We have relatives with same model, different batch & same problem - they are currently trying to get LG to sort. If still in guarantee, give LG a call. (Don't bother emailing for help - they replied to the email the day the tv was returned - technology not their strong point! ;-)

Can you tell me how to tune in a channel when ppreparing to use a freeview box on a onyx sw 1536 ld

Unless you've got an "expensive" Freeview box that modulates its output on to the RF (Aerial) connector then you can't. Most Freeview boxes have 2 aerial connectors - 1 IN from the Aerial itself and 1 OUT to connect to the TV - BUT this is ONLY a PASS-THROUGH connection. This means that the digital Freeview signal which is decoded from the aerial signals is NOT output on the OUT connector and sent down the co-axial cable to your TV. Only the "old" ANALOGUE (not Freeview NON DIGITAL) comes down that co-ax. What you should do is connect the Freeview box to your TV with a SCART cable via the SCART connectors on both. You need to select the AV input on the TV using the remote.
Even if you do have an "expensive" box that does modulate the digital decoded programmes and output these of the RF OUT connector, you should still use a SCART cable as the picture produced will be far better
Hope this helps

My PVR has retuned (DSO)to the wrong transmitter. I receive signals from the Winter Hill transmitter and live in SW Cumbria. My Humax 9200T has retuned ok but my older 8000T has retuned to a transmitter in...

Not a complete solution but after much fruitless fiddling through the menu I eventually found that the programmes were actually there but under different channel numbers.
I searched a long way down the LIST of channels (on remote) The BBC1 channel I want is now 800 BBC. Selecting 1 on the remote still brings up BBC Wales.
This applies to my Humax 8000T PVR - I can't comment on other makes of Freeview box.

I cannot find my tv ariel hole to plug my ariel in

It's not a TV but a monitor. You need an external tuner such as a satellite or freeview (in the UK) box to drive it

Cant retune my digtal freeview as my picture keeps freezing

The retuning process is as follows:

  1. Press the [i+] or MENU button on the remote control to display the DIGITAL INFO menu.
  2. Press the BLUE button to display the MAIN MENU.
  3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to highlight AUTO TUNING then press the OK button to display the AUTO TUNING MENU.
  4. Press the RED button to start the auto tuning process for all available digital channels.
  5. Wait for the process to complete.

If you wish to CANCEL the auto tuning process whilst it is processing then press the BLUE button at any time.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.

I have tried to use an indoor aerial with signal booster for my UMC LCD TV but it does not pick up any digital signal.

1 you may not have freeview in your area, lots of people think it is e'where. It isn't. 2. You need a freeview digital aerial to pick the digital signal up as a ule.

I keep losing signal on my digital tv, it is intergrated into the tv. I have a brand new freeview ariel and coax cable.

Try updating your router's firmware. A recent update from microsoft might have caused this.

My Daewoo sv900 is scanning but not finding any channels

I owned a Daewoo VCR/Digital Receiver SV900 which was wiped out by the last change.
I started complaining to Daewoo who at first were not keen to get involved - I kept on at them and I negotiated with Daewoo for a replacement -

I ended up with a DSD9503TFB which is a twin Freeview tuner with PIP and a 160 GB Hard disk - I paid a cash balance of £ 15 as at first they wanted to give me a cheaper unit.

So it shows that if you complain loud enough ‘you do get results’

The DSD9503TFB arrived the other day and they picked up the SV900.

The picture quality is more Colourful than my other units so I had to tone it down a bit. { I can view seven other Freeview unit so its easy to do a comparison }

So far the Hard disk is silent and the Recording quality is excellent.

It was such good PVR I bought another one which will arrive on Monday.

All in all a ‘ Good result ‘ and ' I am not the only one '

So if you have a genuine Claim against Daewoo I would advise that you keep at them - they take ages to reply to e-mails but stick with it.

contact colin.millard@desuk.co.uk and quote ' Split NIT '

I have listed the Pro's and Con's of the DSD9503TFB at
