There is no way you can stop it. we all have to live with it. A anti spam program is a big help , it will put what it thinks is spam into a folder. so it doesn't get to your main email page . not perfect some will get by, some not spam may get into the spam folder. I check my folder every few days rescue the few not spam and delete the rest .
Hi, seems that Gmail has completely devolved, use Outlook.com, it has all the options you need, it's just better, I checked all the options but nothing about the spam, just nothing, go to Outlook.com and forward your mail there, it is better than Gmail, Gmail sucks! :)
Your mail most likely enters the spam folder. What you need to do is this:
1. save all important mail addresses you are expecting in your address book.
2. Make it a habit to always check your spam folder for non-spam mail.Occasionally important mail enters here. Gmail has a better job at keeping good mails in .
It is not your fault that your mail to your friend entered spam. Email service providers usually have that issue especially yahoo. Gmail is better in that it accepts most mail without spamming then. Mails in spam folders are usually automatically deleted after some time on Yahoo. What you need to do is tell your friends who use Yahoo to include your name in their address books. That way, when they get mail from you, it will not enter spam. You can always check your "Sent" folder for a copy of the mail you sent earlier that didn't get to them.
Sometimes those attractive featured ads can be really dangerous for your account safety. Opening your inbox and finding a flood of spam mails is irritating though, but Yahoo has an option to keep your inbox clean from spam mails. To avoid spam you add filters to different folders contain different criteria. It will also help you to sort and organize your incoming mails. Filters are specially built in such a way that it automatically redirects your mail according to the respective criteria.
