After being deluged with spam to my website email addresses and Horde not doing a great job of dealing with it I opened a gmail account. I didn't change any of my email addresses I just put them on redirect to gmail. This doesn't stop the spam but gmail has such excellent filters that it is all redirected to a seperate spam inbox and slowly as the filters get betterr (and they do) the volume of spam is markedly reduced.
I have gone from several hundred spam emails a day to about twenty a day.
If you want a gmail invite let me know and I will send you one.

How do you delete multiple e-mails such as spam and trash?

if they come from a particular website/individual you can make a rule, (this is an option in hotmail/live.com and others also maybe,) to have deat with in a particular manner. If you select this option for the mail of a particular sender, and consign it to your junk mail rather than your deleted folder, all subsequent mails from that email address should be consigned to your junk mail folder. I archive all my desired emails then highlight the select all option and delete all that I do not want

If you are on the lists of people who send you mail long after you have lost interest in their products/ services just visit them by email and ask them how to unsubscribe. (quaintly put?)

Good Luck. I hate spam too, wate of valuable time clearing rubbish

I dont want to use yahoo account these dating site wont quit sending me email and i am tire of it

You might not be able to get rid of their emails but you can mark them as spam and they will arrive in your spam folder. You can then delete them with all the other junk mail that comes in.
Just check the box in front of any of these emails, then go to the top and hit the spam button. From then on they will go directly into the spam inbox and not bug you anymore. Good luck!

How to delete Junk mail without going to each one

1.Create folders within your email program to store your emails. Make the folders appropriate for storing the emails you receive. For example, if you regularly receive emails from certain people, make a folder to store emails from each person. Make folders to store professional emails and personal emails, and make subfolders within each to further categorize and sort your emails.

2.Set your message rules to route your emails to your specific folders. Many email programs have different levels of junk email filtering. Choose a low or high setting based on the volume of junk mail you receive. Once you have created message rules and junk email filtering, the junk email will be easily noticed when it arrives in your main inbox. Your email program will also attempt to recognize junk mail and will send it to junk and spam folders.

3.Take a few moments each day to browse through your email folders to review the emails you receive. Important emails sometimes get routed to the wrong folders, and they can go unnoticed if you do not check your email folders regularly.

4.Open your spam or junk mail folder and make sure these folders do not contain any emails you wish to keep. If there are emails that are not junk, drag them to the inbox or another folder for storage. Depending on your email program, you also may highlight the email and find a "Not Junk" option to alert your program that this email does not belong in the spam folder. Once you are sure the folders contain only junk mail, highlight one email folder. Press "Control-A" to highlight all of the emails in the folder. After highlighting these emails, press the shift key at the same time that you press the "Delete" button. This will delete all of the emails without sending them to the deleted folder.

5.Manage your junk email filter by opening the "Options" in your email program. From here you can add "Safe Senders" or "Blocked Senders" to either list.

My name is Nick Felix email is nicknickfelix@aol.com a carlyn courtny is advertising over and over????I do not know this person and need him deleted from my face book PLEASE

This type of mail which is advertising and bothering you again and again is called "SPAM" or sometimes they are called "JUNK MAIL". In yahoo mail its refered to as spam and if you have an hotmail account they are called Junk mail. Since you are using AOL I am sure that you will be having something same written on a tab like Spam mail, junk mail or garbage mail etc. Just select the mail message that is bothering you and click on the tab that says Spam or Junk mail and this person or any automated email will not be able to bother you again. All the future mails and the mail you selected to spam will go to Junk or spam folder.

Good Luck!

Name of Stephanie Carpenter in my spam mail

the mail you receive is most likely spam, if you post your email address on public places, just like you did here, a spamming program / bot that looks for such emails will pick it up and put it on a list of emails to send spam email to. over time you will probably get more and more spam email in different peoples names and so on, messages for viagra, drugs, etc completely useless spam email.

My e mail account will not receive incoming e mails it states the account is closed how do i fix this as i did not cancel the account many thanks

The only reason you would not receive them is because they are being spammed...Check you spam folder and if you find them in there open them up and click on NOT SPAM...

If you dont see them in spam when you open up your spam folder it means you are automatically deleting them...Click on Options...Mail Options...Spam
Go down to where you can save them..and make sure save them for at least one week so you can view them before deletion.

While in SPAM...check to see if they are in the blocked addresses...If you find them in there...they are in alphabetical order...hilite them and remove the block...

One of the above should take care of your problem..

When all else fails do the below...Use the website first ..they have a live chat option...good luck

Receiving far too many "spam-e-mails"jamming up my computer

If you can set up filters on your email server, configure one to move any email from the spam addresses, or with a certain phrase or keyword, to the spam folder.

Sorry I could not elaborate.  What email server program do you use?
