Whirlpool cabrio washer starts to fill and then quits almost immediately and then the LF code comes on. I have run the automatic diagnostic test and the water inlet valve seems to work fine. During test detergent inlet valve did not fill, could this be causing the problem?
Re: Whirlpool cabrio washer starts to fill and then quits...
Try cleaning your inlet valve filters. Turn off your water supply and remove the hoses from the washer. The filter screens are located just inside of the valves. Just twist them out, clean, and reinstall.

An F/dL error code indicates a problem with the door lock. The error code will pop up when the door fails to lock. The washer will display the error code after six attempts to lock the door. To fix the issue, the door lock assembly needs to be inspected for loose or broken wires and other signs of damage.Oct. 4, 2021

Aha the old LF : Captain we have a problem. What is it Spock? Computers cannot confirm water is filling, water level does not change. Spock you did pay the water bill this month? What could it be Spock? Captain the inlet screens appear to have contaminants. Suggest you jettison them. If that does not solve it see test #2
You may have accidentally put the machine in demo mode or one of the test modes in diagnostics. Try unplugging unit for a couple of minutes and restarting to reset board. It may be something else more serious, or difficult to find, but it cost nothing to try..... good luck
6-1 DIAGNOSTICS & TROUBLESHOOTING DISPLAY FAULT / ERROR CODES DISPLAY (Saved Code) EXPLANATION AND RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE (F30) Long Fill LF flashes when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change. • Is water supply connected and turned on? • Are hose screens plugged? • Is water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control. • See TEST #2.
The problem
happens when your installer throws away the drain hose u-bend, and
stuffs the hose as far as it will go down the drain pipe. When this
happens the end of the hose can get pushed under water, which causes
the washer to siphon out the wash water when it fills. This results in
an LF "Long Fill" error. The solution is to get your installer to come back and install the washer properly.
