Question about Apple iPhone 3G
I think I just had what is known as the "white apple logo screen of death", my iPhone is "bricked" is there a way to fix this or should I head to the Apple store?
Press and hold Sleep/Wake and Home until the iPhone resets.
When the Apple logo appears release Sleep/Wake, but do not release Home until you see the prompt to connect the iPhone to iTunes.
to restore the iPhone’s firmware, all your settings, all your media, and all your Apps.
I don't recommend you to do the offered backup, I've seen a few things more reliable then this backup, to say the least...
To avoid the screen of death, do not update all the features with the "Update All" feature, updates your features one at a time, avoid performing other tasks while updating your iPhone.

You over paid for the phone and service plan, why not take it in to an apple store for them to get more money out of you?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
