showmecables.com/Bulk-Cable STEP 1 Purchase the RF modulator at an electronics store. The modulator is used to connect your older television to cable.
STEP 2 Plug the RF modulator in a power outlet near your television. It is best to plug it near the television to allow for easy access.
STEP 3 Connect your television to the RF modulator by inserting the one-prong cord that is on back of your television. Insert the cord in the slot on the modulator that reads, "To TV." On older televisions, this cord is the only cord in the back.
STEP 4 Connect one end of the white one-prong cable to the cable box and the other end in the RF modulator. Connect it into the modulator in the slot the reads, "ANT IN." Usually, the cables are provided by the cable company--the technician uses them upon installation. This particular cable may run along the side of the wall to your cable box.
STEP 5 Turn on the cable box and the television set. Everything should be working properly. On the RF modulator, choose the channel for the television (either channel 3 or 4). The modulator turns on when you plug it in.

My emerson tv try to turn on but goes to stand by

Hello

Unplug the power cord for one minute, then plug the cord back in . This allows the unit to reset itself.

Check the breaker box to make sure that the switch that controls the TV is not switched to "Off." If it is, flip the switch back to the "On" position.

Check the batteries in the remote control if attempting to turn on the TV from the remote. Make sure that the batteries are properly aligned. Try replacing the batteries.

Grab your Emerson TV's remote and hit the "Input" button at the top multiple times. This will cycle through the available video inputs for the Emerson TV.

You may have had the wrong input selected accidentally, such as the one for the DVD player. This will reselect the correct video input for you to enjoy television programming via your cable or satellite receiver.

If, however, your Emerson TV still lacks audio or video, peruse your A/V cable prong-to-port connections and ensure they are correctly made. The A/V cable has one red, one yellow and one white prong on each of its ends, for a total of two of each color.

Appropriately, there are red, white and yellow prongs on the back of your Emerson TV and the back of your cable or satellite box. Make sure the ports and prongs are matched up by color and have not been switched up.

I can hear the tv but no picture.. i remove the red, yellow, and white cord from the back of the tv to dust...pls help.. Apex tv brand

Hi! Welcome to Fixya!

If you are unable to view video on your television set, the issue may be that the TV's video input selection does not match.

The TV input source must match how the equipment for example DVD is connected to the TV.

* Plug the RCA cables(red, yellow, white cord) to the designated ports.
* Grab your Apex TV remote and attempt to cycle through the video inputs by hitting the "Input" button at the top of the remote multiple times.
* If you have used a DVD player or similar external device recently, you may have neglected to switch the video input back to the one assigned to your TV programming.
* Devices such as DVD players often reside on the AV 1 or AV 2 video input, and failure to switch back off of one of these will result in a dark, soundless screen when attempting to view cable or satellite television.
* Cycle through the inputs until you land on your cable/satellite input once more, which should result in an immediate restoration of picture and sound.
* If it does not, approach your Apex TV and look over the A/V cable connections. The A/V cable has two sets of prongs, one on either of its ends. Each prong is either red, yellow and white, and plugs into corresponding A/V ports on the back of the Apex TV and the back of your cable or satellite box. Make sure the ports and prongs are color-corresponding and have not been switched up.

Thank you for using FixYa. Keep me posted. :

I do not know how to install my Retro Duo Nintendo to my LG tv. Where do I plug in my S-Visual wires?

Not all new tv's have S-Visual inputs. What you need is an RF Switch. You can find them at any electronics store (even walmart).

Check which one you buy or have a sales associate help you find the right one. Some RF switches (sometimes called modulators) only help you to plug multiple 3-prong av cords to a single av input on a tv. Others will convert your older Coaxel (cable cord) or S-Video (circle with multiple holes) into a 3-prong to the tv.

Also make sure that the RF you buy either comes with a 3-prong AV cord or buy a cheap one (cheapest you find in the store; it doesn't have to be long)
