The Windows installation code is on the label on the bottom of your notebook.

If the system came with Windows installed, there should be a product key sticker on the bottom of it. Unfortunately, if you do not have this sticker, your next step would be to look for the recovery CD if one was included with your laptop.

You can also call Compaq to request the restore CD, but since it is out of warranty, they may charge you for the disc.
