Thank you chewy777! Wow this is neat. I will look for the window backup & recovery feature. I don't know where to look so I'll do a search I have used webbased mail for a long time which I really don't have to back up. But I like the Outlook & it is faster plus so much more room for everything and more professional. I'm running a homebased business & I need to look professional. I have very little knowledge & experience on the computer. I'm just a grandma that sat down in front of a coomputer that my son built about 8 years ago. My granddaughers 3rd computer! She at 3 was saying w/a plug in her mouth, "I got to boot it up grandma!" Wow! I knew I better learn to e-mail. I know some stuff but...ya know,,,,,,it is trial and error w/ me. I'll give this a try and let you know if it works. Thanks a bunch!

Hello,
I would try to use the windows backup and recovery feature if it's enabled. restore it to the previous day, also, for the windows system, did you create a backup disk. if so you should be able to reload any pre-existing programs to your system by running a restore from the recovery. without loosing all your personal files. also some will have an option when creating a recovery disk to make an applications recovery disk. If you haven't created these, i would check into this in the future.

Hello.. where n how do i download the latest Microsoft Excel as my Excel are outdated n i cant open any file from someone email. thanks!

Hi there!
You can download a trial of Microsoft Office Professional 2010 from this link: http://www7.buyoffice.microsoft.com/emea1/product.aspx?family=o14_officepro_try&country_id=GB&WT.mc_id=ODC_enGB_Pro_Try
The trial above is free to use for 30 days. However after those 30 days are over you will have to purchase a compatible licence key for the software from this link:
http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/en-GB/Microsoft/Office-Professional-2010?WT.mc_id=OfficeOnline_UK_ProDetail
The cost is £429.99
If you just want Excel here is a trial and purchase link
Purchase: http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/en-GB/Microsoft/Excel-2010
Trial http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try/try-office-2010-FX101868838.aspx?WT%2Emc_id=ODC_ENUS_OATExcelHome_MonTry
However if it is just a particular file you are trying to open, ask the sender to save it in office 2003 and '07 compatibility mode. This will allow you to open the file on your current software at no extra cost.
I hope this helps.

Well, if you need MS Word ASAP, I'd recommend downloading the Trial version of MS Office Home & Student 2010, so you can get your immediate work done, well, immediately. Then you can shop around for a good deal on purchasing the full version later. You can download the trial (and/or buy the full version) from office.microsoft.com. This URL will take you there directly:

try calling Microsoft. if you purchased the product already and already registered it online, then the key is already activated. if you try to re-enter it again, the system will reject it. When you call microsoft, you need to have the original CD with you, they will ask for the product code on the CD itself. so that they could provide you another product key.

Yes legally you need 2 licenses for 2 computers. MS Office 2007 like most Microsoft Products will be licensed per system. There is is nothing physically to stop you using it on both however.

Can't install microsoft office small business 2007 upgrade

The upgrade version is only to upgrade a previous version of MS office. The trial version does not qualify as previous version to be upgraded. You need to purchase the full product rather than the upgrade.

If you know somebody who has MS office 2003 with a valid product key, you could install that version, and then upgrade it with the product that you purchased

Product key

The only way to just get a product key is if you have a trial version of the software and purchase the key from Microsoft through the trial version.

Hope this helps! : )

E-Machine-Microsoft office product code

Hi DeLaunay,

The product key that ships with E-Machines computers for Office is a trial key that is provided by Microsoft for a 60, 90, or 120 day trial. If that key was misplaced, a trial can be obtained directly from Microsoft at their Microsoft Office Trial website:

http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/default.aspx

If a full version of Office was purchased along with the PC and they key was misplaced then you will have to contact Microsoft Support for a resolution. Their information can be found at the following link:
