Well usually in corporate printer you have to specify the paper source, if you have selected it and no happened, you may try other tray to put your paper on. if this should not work you may reset the printer by leaving it off and unplugged from the power outlet for at least an hour or 2

Document size and page size when printing

Its not a setting for page size, that must always be set to the paper size. The best way is to remove the margins in the document by editing it in a PDF editor. Alternatives are a bit of a bodge. When you print try changing the size to 115% of original.

Printing PDF on 8400 - example 265K PDF created from Acrobat 9 spools over USB over 22Meg and never prints. Any other files, Doc, XLS, we've tested print fine and fast.

I've ran across this a few times and the only thing that ever seemed to help was turning of print spooling so it would print direct to the printer. It ties up the computer while it prints but it does work. Usually in other programs when you see this kind of error the proper printer hasn't been selected or the paper size is wrong or the file being printed is corupt.

My printer won't print ADOBE files, but prints all word documents

I believe you are misunderstanding what you're "telling" the computer to do. You are telling the computer (I assume in Microsoft Word, but perhaps elsewhere) to generate an electronic document in PDF format. (I believe PDF stands for Portable Document Format)
It uses a printing metaphor because like a paper copy, the PDF file is designed for people to read, not edit the document you have created. Also, some PDF-making software methods involve pretending to be a printer, which allows the user to make a PDF file in any program that would normally only output your work to a printer.
Most people, when wanting to print a PDF document onto paper, open it with Adobe's Acrobat Reader (which is free software) and print the document from there. For sharing a document that you want no changes to, this is a superior option to sending people an MS Word .doc (or .docx) file, which does not have its information "locked" onto virtual pages in the file.

I hope this helped!

The printer will not print on the half inch left edge of the page.

go to settings and change the left margin to 0.0. if in Word, then file->page setup and set the margins to what you want, left margin to 0.0 in your case.

Toshiba 281C Bypass tray

Problem isn't "solved", but have realized that the issue is related to the fact that the document I am trying to print is formatted for envelopes. When I print a regular word document (letter) it prints fine to the Bypass tray. It must have something to do with the fact that the document is 1000 envelopes. If I print to a PDF file, then print the document to the Bypass Tray I don't seem to have a problem.

Can't print entire pdf documents only first page.

Try this

For Adobe Acrobat Professional 9:
  1. Choose File > Print.
  2. Click on Advanced.
  3. Choose Postcript Options.
  4. Under Font and Resource Policy, select "Send for Each Page".
  5. If "Print as Graphic" is checked, it must be unchecked, as well as "Send As Group" if it does not uncheck itself when you select "Send for Each Page"
  6. Save it as a custom configuration.
