First, download Memtest86+ at http://www.memtest.org/#downiso and boot from the disk. I would recommend downloading http://www.memtest.org/download/4.20/memtest86+-4.20.iso.zip
Burn the ISO to a blank CD, if you don't have a program to do that, use http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Boot your computer with the disk in the drive and run a test. If you run into any errors, you need to replace your memory.
Your computer has two slots for RAM, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148163 will work for your machine.
Open the case and make sure none of the capacitors are blown. The capacitors are the little metal topped cylinders on the motherboard. It's normally pretty obvious if they are blown, they normally have brown foam coming out the top of them. The capacitors should also have flat tops. If the tops are puffed out or domed they will not work properly and you will often receive blue screens and errors. If the capacitors are damaged you will usually need a new motherboard.
The next thing to check is the RAM. If you have more than one stick, try removing them one at a time and see if the problem persists. It is possible that all or none of the RAM is defective and that you may just need to do a repair on your operating system. This can be done from an OEM copy of the disc the operating system came on.
