Question about Televison & Video
No argument- shop MUST accept this back - "goods not of merchantable quality" under the Sale of Goods Act.
You were watching the TV and it failed - the screen is the same as if the power module or anything else had failed. If they stick, threaten legal action & contact the Citizen's Advice Bureau & Trading Standards.
Assuming you bought brand new, you are on 100% solid ground here.
Do NOT try to fix it, you will invalidate warranty.
