I have vulcan ducted heated model no. 9255. The comfort control is reading the room temp as 35C when it is actually 11C, yes its freezing here. As the room temp is at its maximum reading the heating is not working. I have tried removing the batteries and restarting, the reset button and resetting the identity code, all to no avail. help! I replaced the batteries, even though 'battery low' message was not displayed. this fixed my problem. I wish I'd have just done that to start with.

F1 08 f2 08 f3 08 f4 08 error codes vulcan comfort control what does it mean

What sort of machine is it? Refrigerated, Ducted, Gas? To do a full reset correctly, you must switch off at the main isolator next to the unit or at the meter box and leave it off for at least 15 minutes. A quick on / off does not reset it properly. If the unit is a refrigerated split system , and the outdoor is running but the machine is not blowing cold outside and hot inside (On heating mode) It could be due to a gas leak / shortage.

Our remote control for Vulcan Comfort Control Gas Ducted Heating is broken and we need a replacement, where can I find one as Bonair/Vulcan no longer makes this model and their spare parts business cannot...

Try Skytech Systems. They make a remote control for just about anything. And one of theirs may be adaptable to what you need. http://www.skytechsystem.com/ If you don't find what you're looking for on their website, call them and talk to Customer Service.

Thermastat is reading colder than the actual temperature of the room

Your question is phrased a little odd.

1) If when you say 'thermostat' - you are actually talking about a 'temperature reading' on your thermostat - then I would tell you to just get another temp measuring device and double-check the temp.

2) if howerver you are talking about the set-point of your thermostat - for example - you might have it set on 70 degrees and the room temperature is 78 - then I would say that the AC is not big enough to pull the temp down to 70 in the room, or, you have a problem with the AC that does not allow the unit to pull the temp down.

good luck!

if these are the longest runs from the air handler this can sometimes happen ,about the easest solution is to install a in duct heater into the duct feeding the rooms this is basically a set of electric coils installed in duct to re-heat the air going to the bed room

Thermostat location on York Diamond 90 gas furnace

Augold, sometimes its best to set the thermostat where you "feel comfortable" . I.E. set it and leave it til you feel the need to be cooler or warmer.

A thermometer on a thermostat will not always be accurate and setting it will only get it within 2 to 5 degrees which is enough to "feel".

Now from the stand point of is it working properly????

Assume you feel comfortable and the heat stays on to keep you comfortable is their anything wrong with this? I assume this is the goal. Even if it says 90 (and you know its not 90) and your comfortable you could leave it alone and be OK. If this kind of thing is whats bothering you a new thermostat may not be much better, unless your ready to invest in one and accept it however it should be closer to the place youd set it. Id recommend an electronic type they are more accurate and level doesn't matter so much to these types.

If you want to set the temperature and are determined to go by a thermometer to "feel Comfortable" I recommend you buy an electronic thermometer and set it close by the thermostat. Make sure you have no lamps or other heat sources close to the thermostat area.
Remember the far end of a room or a chair by a window Especially with little or no curtains and on the prevailing out door wind will always feel colder and be colder than the area by the thermostat even if both are in the same room. If your too cold try running the thermostat up a few degrees. If too warm set it lower. The equipment doesn't care how cold or warm it is.You will not increase your utility bills to the national debt by being comfortable

If this helps please grade me accordingly and Good Luck.
