This worked for me what i did is: turn on projector then undo the light panel when its on the projector then will cut off, now the light panel pushes down on the hidden safety switch take a screw driver and push down on the switch, the projector will turn on then wait for about 8 sec then release the projector will turn off, repeat step several times until the light flickers, then do a couple more times and the light should come on and should stay steady turn off and let cool for 10 min, this worked for me hope it works for you!

How to do lamp reset on panasonic pt-lb50u projector.

To reset the lamp hours, turn on the projector. Then press Menu and use the Up/Down arrows to highlight Options. Press Enter then highlight Lamp Runtime. Press and hold Enter for 3+ seconds until the Lamp Runtime screen is displays. Press the Power button (any other button cancels the reset). When the Power button LED turns red, unplug the power cord to the projector. You can either use the remote or the controls on the projector. Reconnect the power cord after a few minutes.

The reset instructions are on page 62 of the user manual. The manual is available from Panasonic here: https://support.panasonic.co.nz/docstore/PT-LB50U%20Operating%20Instructions.pdf .

I hope this helps.

The projector turned itself off after couple hours of use and the Temp. red light came on. Power Light turned red instead of orange as usual. After 3hrs I turned it back on, cleaned the dust off the fan...

There are three temp sensor inside the projector and now your projector need full service but if the air filter becomes clogged with dust, the internal temperature of the projector will rise, the TEMP indicator will illuminate and the projector's power will turn off (the TEMP indicator will flash after the power is turned off) The air filter should be cleaned every 100 hours of use.
If you clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner to clean off any accumulated dust. then your projector working normally

After a few seconds the lamp light began to blink red, its a panasonic pt-lb10svu, show no pic at all has a new lamp

Hi, Replacing the lamp in a Sharp LCD projector requires the lamp indicator to be reset. When the lamp needs to be replaced, the indicator becomes red. Resetting the counter for the lamp hours to zero will also reset the indicator to green.
  • Attach the power cord to the projector and plug it into an electrical outlet.
  • Step 2Locate the buttons on the top of the projector and simultaneously hold down the "Enter", "Menu" and "down arrow" buttons, then press the "Standby/On" button.
  • Step 3Continue holding all four buttons depressed until the lamp indicator light begins flashing green. The counter is now reset. Zero hours will now be displayed on the screen.
