Sony hcd-ec99i i have no sound from the speakers at all. I am not getting the protect message. please help

Check the simple stuff first

Is it muted?

Is the source selected sending signal (radio staion broadcasting, cd playing, ipod all the way ect)

Try doing some basic troubleshooting like,

see if all sources available yield the same result (TV, Radio, CD, Ipod, Aux jack)

When you turn the volume all the way up, do you hear an audible hiss from the speakers?(or use a test tone) If so, your amp is working and the problem is, your unit is not sending any signal to it.

If possible hook up your speakers to another system to rule them out, however I doubt that is your problem.

My Sony HCD-EC909iP receiver won't turn on and the

Usually that is caused by a bad amp IC. Normally on this model, you would just replace the entire main pcb.

Needs repair either a output ic or a diode near one of the outputs most often takes care of it. Not a job for a diy-er.

Sony home theater model no hcd-dz570 push power protect error on display what,s solution?

Check the speaker connection. One of them has a shortcircuit. Try to disconect all of them and power on the device. See what is happen. If starts corectly check the speaker cable. Conect one by one and power up the receiver after each connection. When you get the error again check the last conected cable. These receivers have a protection system against shortcircuits. That is puting your device in that error.

My Sony LBT- LX30 stereo is saying "PUSH POWER PROTECT" when I try to turn it on. What does this mean?

You probably have a blown amp ic or the output transistors. But disconnect the speakers and turn it on could be a bad speaker if it turns on.

WHEN I ON MY HI FI SYSTEM THERE IS NO SOUND COMING OUT OF THE SPRAKERS, AND WHEN I INCRESE THE THE VOLUME TO 16 OR ABOVE THE HIFI SYSTEM AUTIMATICALLY TURNS OFF. TO RE START THE SYSTEM YOU HAVE TO TURN IT...

There is a problem with the output section. When you turn up the volume, the protection circuit kicks in and shuts down the system. This unit requires service. Expect a parts cost of about $10-$30. Add in the local labor rate for the total repair cost.
