pick your correct camera model from here install the skype program... basically for the phillips driver you will notice it installs correctly. i believe your screen RESOLUTION is not correct. also check on your box back side their should be a vga setting you like 640x480 try the recommended setting. last see if there are hardware requirement minimums like processor speed and memory

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Uninstalled the camera but the "vm_sti.exe" is still eating my cpu

Hi,

Your post ..."C:\WINDOWS\VM_STI.EXE...clean this from my pc..." would mean remove/delete.

Initially, pls try to:
  • Uninstall the Philips SPC 200NC;
  • Run in Safe mode and delete C:\WINDOWS\VM_STI.EXE;
  • goto Start, Run, type "msconfig", click on Startup, uncheck reference(s) to C:\WINDOWS\VM_STI.EXE;
  • open Windows Task Manager, Applications (or Processes), highlight VM_STI.EXE, click on End Process button.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

There is video picture but no Audio sound

I am having a similar problem, except neither of us can hear each other. I'm working on a solution. The webcam does have a built-in microphone.
