Just check and return your display to previous setting. Right click your empty area on screen ( while your computer in idle ( running software are closed or minimized). Then click screen resolution or personalize ( if you use windows 7). For other windows, you can do change setting with the same way.

The way you change displays (assuming you are able to see an image on the screen) you right-click your desktop and go to Properties and go to Settings. You can then change the resolution (Which I'm Assuming your talking about) and various settings within your display

How do you get your computer screen back to normal size

You can right click on a empty space on the desktop then click properties. When the Desktop Properties window opens click the Appearance tab. Go down to the font size and you can change it to normal, large or extra large. Normal is what it should be.

You can also get there by going into the Control Panel and changing the Font size on the display. Click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. Open the display, click the Appearance tab and change the Font Size.

If that don't do what you are looking for you can click the Settings tab on the display to change the Screen Resolution. The higher the resolution, the smaller the icons and therefore the more you will get on the screen.

My kids pushed something and now my desktop is completely displayed sideways - its almost impossible to to use the cursor. how do I get back to the normal setting?

First try pressing the following 3 keys at the same time:
CTRL - ALT - UP ARROW.

Hopefully, this will rotate the display back to normal orientation.

If that does not work, then try RIGHT CLICKING anywhere on your DESKTOP.
Then select GRAPHICS OPTIONS.
Then ROTATION.
Then NORMAL.

Hopefully one of those procedures solves the problem.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

How to hook my sony VAIO to TV via HDMI

Hi there Dream,

There is a toggle function for switching the display. It cycles from normal to external to both.

You are looking for one of the F-Keys (Normally F5) should have a little rectangle between two vertical lines. It's supposed to be a monitor.

To cycle the display, press the Fn key (near the space bar), then the F-key. Your standard display should go blank. To get it back, do the same thing.

If your TV still displays nothing, Check which input its using.

This should get you going.
