While an Apple Ipod and Phillips go gear are both MP3 players they are made by two different companies and are two completly different products.

This will help with iPod

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

For the phillips you should be able to reformat the media and change setting problems
from the menu under system.

Phillips may have software to update/ fix the firmware inside the player just make sure
your getting the EXACT software for your SPECIFIC type and model or player

If its a problem with the electronics not much can be done due to the compactness
of the electronics in these units.

My ipod SA011102S/97 go gear is not found wen connected to the computer

Hi jesueben,

  • The firmware of your GoGear may be corrupted.
    1. Make sure that your computer is online and connecting to the Internet. Launch the Firmware Manager at Start->Programs->Philips Firmware Manager on your PC
    2. Connect your GoGear to the computer while pressing & holding the 051104154033_4112.gif key until the Firmware Manager recognize the GoGear and a dialogue box pop up in recover mode.
    3. Click Start to confirm and start recovering the unit to its factory setting
IMPORTANT: All music & content of your GoGear Player will be erased once the factory setting is restored.
    4. Follow all screen instructions and click Finish at the end to complete the recovery.
    5. The Firmware manager will close automatically once the success message is displayed. Close all opened application and then safely remove your GoGear by clicking on the EJECT HARDWARE icon in your task tray bar. When prompted, "The USB Mass Storage Device can now be safely removed from the system", click OK and unplug your micro jukebox.
If you have any additional questions or issues, Consumer Care can be reached at 1-888-744-5477. You can also find more information and resources on this product @ http://ow.ly/5R4ZK.

    Hope this helps!

    Philips gogear sa3245

The solution is to upgrade to a sleek model, like a brand name Apple iPod or Oakley Thumps. You could also use the Philips Media Converter that came with the installation CD to convert adult entertainment videos to your GoGear. Either way, you'll get more satisfaction. LOL

    Hang

You could try connecting it to your computer.

If it connects but doesn't seem to fix the problem try formatting your iPod. I know 2 way's in which this can be done.

First one is using iTunes, connect your iPod to the computer then go into iTunes when your iPod has connect and click on "Restore" this will restore your iPod previours setting also should remove this error.

If that way doesn't work try going to "Start" then click on "My Computer" then find your iPod usually named as "Removable Disk" once you've found it right-click on it then click on "Format" once format is complete disconnect your iPod then try see if it's fixed.

If it is fixed after these i recommened you to do updates. To do so use iTunes.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful. Further problems leave a comment on here and i will get back to you.
