Hello..my ps3 (slim) console cant play the disc game because after i instert the disc few seconds later there's a sound (like when the disc start to eject) but the disc still inside and the icon for game not displayed. But no problem for the dvd video, so basically disc cannot read only for the game disc not dvd disc. What's wrong with my ps3?

All of my game disc not working also and every disc condition are ok (not scratched) the sound that after I turn on the console that worries me, this situation never happened before. But if I turn on ps3 not insert the disc game that annoying sound are gone. Hmm that is definitely your cd tray/sensor. If it is still under warranty I advise getting it looked at. If not you could try very carefully taking the top off and seeing if everything looks alright. You could even try putting a disc in and seeing what the problem is. Use discretion if using that method though. Or just try to open it up and do the soft cloth method.
