Uninstall your current anti-virus software.
Access: http://www.microsoft.com/security-essentials
and download Microsoft's own anti-virus software.
It updates itself automatically, so that you never have to worry about "updating".

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can i removed the viruses on my pc?

Two of the more easy, reliable and free anti-virus software you can download are:
AVAST
ESET

Either one of them will always guard every aspect of your computer and online activity. You MUST be online for any anti-virus software to update it's engine and virus database regularly. Also, MALWAREBYTES is a free anti-malware that guards against other kinds of dangerous computer bugs, and works very well.
Once you've updated whatever anti-virus software you have, then run a complete scan of all your drives and put all viruses into quarantine or repair the files, or remove the nasties completely.

Tip

VIRUS

The Computer Virus.

Firstly lets understand 1 thing, Virus, Worms, Trojans, Malware, Adware, Spyware etc are different things!!.

A Virus ,, think of it as a program set to do malicious things without your consent.

Antivirus is used to remove a virus. There are different types of antivrus and people rate them differently. Some prefer this ,, some that,, I prefer AVG cause its free :). Any way to the point of this tip.!!

Here is what you dont know about an anti virus. This program will only detect a virus it knows about,, that's why u need regular updates!!! If it doesn't know a virus exist It will never find it. So any antivirus is only as good as it's updates!!.

How does it remove a virus ?

Simple! A virus usually alters the registry, renames a few files, injects it self in others and copies its own files to replace those it renamed. It Keeps itself in memrory and limits the users access to the computer.

The antivirus update contains the checksum of the virus so the antivirus app can detect it. Once found ,, the update also contains info on what the virus does ,, so the antivirus undoes it!..]

There it is quite simple. Remember your antivirus is only as good as it's updates!!

I can't update my anti virus

Most anti-virus programs will auto-update once a day, or week, or some other period of time. However, if it's a manual update, then there are a few pages you could go to:
Norton Anti-Virus: http://updatecenter.norton.com//ManualUpdate?NUCSID=81&NUCVER=2&NUCLANG=zh_tw
CA: http://www.ca.com/us/support/gsa/Virus-Info/Virus-Signature-Updates.aspx
Avast!: (right-click on the Avast! icon in the bottom right corner of your screen, you might need to expand the system tray by clicking the triangle, highlight update, and update both options.)
AVG: (Same as Avast!)
As I said before, most anti-virus programs will auto-update.
I hope this helps!

I LOST THE SERIAL NUMBER TO MY DRIVE ERASE PRO DISK , MY COMPUTER HAS A VIRUS AND I REALLY NEED IT

• As soon as you suspect that your computer has a virus, remove your computer from any networks it might be on, as well as from the Internet, so that you don't inadvertently spread the bug to others.
• If you have virus-scanning (anti-virus) software installed, run it.
• If you don't have anti-virus software, you'll need to obtain some. If you can't get it from a network administrator or download it from an uninfected computer, you can mail-order it from a retailer.
• Start your computer (still not connected to a network) and follow the instructions that came with the anti-virus software.
• Keep running the virus-scanning software until your computer comes up clean.
• Reconnect your computer to the Internet and check with the anti-virus software's publisher to make sure you have the latest updates. If not, download them now.
• After updating the anti-virus software, run it again until your computer comes up clean.
Hopefully, it may help you to remove virus from your PC.

My system is full of viruses. Do i install antivirus and try and remove the viruses or do i need to uninstall windows xp sp2 and reinstall with a antivirus.

The "best practises" approach recommends:
1. backup of your data/music/E-mail files.
2. a "full" format of your C: drive.
3. reinstall Windows from trusted media.
4. install anti-virus software, and update it.
5. run Windows Update, repeatedly, to get all the updates since 2000 (when XP was released).
6. reload your data.

My mp3 is not starting may be due to virus from my laptop now how can I remove virus or start it . somebody told me that I need new software for it but I don't know the manufacturer plz help

Access "Windows Update" -- one of the updates is a virus-scanner (that Microsoft updates, once-per-month) to detect "common" computer-viruses.

Download the virus-scanner from http://www.prevx.com and run it.

Updates

1)Go to control panel 2)Click Security Settings 3)Then turn on your Automatic updates. If this dont solve ur problem then go for this: 1) remove all the temporary files from pc. By going to Start->Run->%Temp% delete all files. Then remove the software by searching its name in 'regedit' and then resintall it. to go 'regedit': Start->Run->regedit
