We have a Nikon Coolpix L11 camera and it will suddenly not download/transfer pics - on any program and only 65% on the supplied program. The camera is only used a few times per month and pics are generally deleted from the camera once downloaded/transferred. So at the most, there may be only 5+ pics at one time and almost immediately deleted. Are we missing something? Everything prior has worked fine.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

Cant upload pics from my new coolpix camera. I can no longer find disc but already have "view nx" and "nikon transfer" downloaded from prior pics.

Having gone over two months without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader and/or Nikon Transfer solved the problem.

If you are using Windows 7 then that itself the problem. There is a work around though. You can remove the card from the camera and plug it into the card reader slot on your laptop so that you can just copy the pics like you do from a USB drive. Atleast its a work around till the drivers are available for the camera. PS: IF your lapto does not have a card reader you can purchase one at your local computer store for about 10$

I WANT TO DOWNLOAD PICTURE PROJECT FROM NET TO MY PC COMPATIABLE TO COOLPIX L11 i need the link.

PictureProject was retired long ago. If you have an older version installed, you can get update it to 1.7.6, but there is no full install available.

PictureProject's functions have been split into two programs, Nikon Transfer and Nikon ViewNX. You can download both of them, as well as the PictureProject update, and current versions of all (free) Nikon software from http://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61
