One of your speakers has gone bad. When this happens the speaker can become a short in the circuit. This can burn a circuit up. The radio enters protect mode to protect itself. Unplug a speaker one at a time with the radio turned off, turn the radio on, and see if it works, repeat this until it does work. When it does, you have found your bad speaker. It is possible more than one speaker is bad, so go ahead and test each one.
Alternatively, if you have a multimeter, set it to measure resistance and take a reading across the speakers terminals, if a speaker has no resistance, then it is bad, if it has a very large or infinite resistance then it is also bad. A normal car speaker should be somewhere around 2 ohms to 20 ohms, depending on size and make.
