I need the usb for my printer - Brother MFC-215C All-In-One InkJet Printer

You need a simple USB Printer Cable to connect the printer to USB Port of the Laptop, which is easily from any Computer Accessories store. Below is the picture of the cable. The normal USB plug (on the left) goes to the USB Post of the PC and the square one at the right should be connected to the printer.

Printers do not have a standard USB port. Instead, they use a port that is a bit more square. The cable you'll need is USB one one side and Printer on the other wide. These are extremely easy to find at an electronics retailer and are commonly known as a printer cable.

Whether or not you'll need a program/CD depends on your computer. After you have the correct cable, you can try connecting the printer to your laptop and seeing if the driver already exists/works correctly. If no luck, you can use the Internet to go to Canon's website and download the correct driver for your printer. That should get things going with no Program/CD needed.

you cant see the usb cable? or the usb port? Some printers are still not supplied with a USB cable, silly I know, but for some reason they dont supply. If you were not supplied a USB cable you will need to go to your computer store (or the place you got the printer) and purchse a USB cable

USB cables are mostly standardized. Printers usually use the most common type of USB cable. If you go online, you can order a USB cable. If it is just an ordinary USB cable, it should work. Make sure to get the right length, or at least as long as you need it.

check what would be the cable you need that is present in your printer and your pc, normally all printers nowadays have a usb port and standard computers as well, therefore you need a usb device cable which is A to B male usb cable. get one by belkin f3u-133-06 a 6ft usb cable

You can use USB or Parallel according to the user guide. Most laptops made recently wont have a parallel port and the cables are harder to find so I recommend USB.

You should be able to use this printer with a USB cable. You can pick up a USB cable just about anywhere that they sell computer or printer equipment. Just tell them you need a USB printer cable. This is a standard item and no further description is needed.

The Driver for this will probably be a native driver, and you probably wont have to download a new one, but just in case, here is the link for the driver directly from HP.

Unplug the printer. After uninstalling the software make sure you delete the printer from Printers and Faxes! Try plugging it up again(don't install back the software just as yet), the New device found pop up should come up! if it doesn't then it could be the USB cable / the USB ports on the PC or the USB interface on the card! If it does , put the cd in the drive and select Install Drivers automatically(if its pops up) Also, Try using different USB ports if the new device pop up doesn't pop up! Test the USB ports by using a regular USB device in the same port you are plugging the printer into! A bad USB cable could be the issue but it can also be something else! You'll need to verify that its the cable, what you can do is try it with a cable that you know is fully functional! If you still don't get a response from the printer and everything else works(i.e. usb cable, usb ports) then it could be the USB interface on the printer! and you'll need to take it to a tech!
