Which cellular service do you have? The 5017b is called the Onetouch Elevate by Alcatel. The manual is available on the Alcatel product page under Manual & Support. You may try default phone and security code to remove restrictions.
ur defalt phones codes is 12345 or 00000 u can use it
Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000
Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000

Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.
send the IMEI no to me and i will reply you with unlocking code.

Take the Outlook contacts (highlight then copy) forward your contacts in Outlook and email them to yourself as V-cards these can be saved to the desktop folder Name it Phone contacts. Now here is the rub you must have a Blue Tooth dongle connected to your computer and the Blue Soleil Software available on the net. This will allow you to pair with the computer and phone. Select the contacts in the folder right click and then send to Bluetooth select the phone and you are done. Now if you get an error restart the phone and software ....works for me Note: this is not sync per say but at least you can type your contacts in Outlook and forward them to the phone. The rest of the folders on the phone have been disabled by Bell TELUS etc in Canada and some companies in the U.S. so they can charge us Data rate over and above the already high cell costs they shove at us...sorry had to vent.

Consult Virgin to get the proper settings for their network. Your phone is still carrying the old settings from your old provider, thats why it giving you this error. I believe Virgin has these settings available on their homepage, otherwise give them a call and let the supporter help you through the setup process.
