I just took mine apart, and put it back together. Of the three holes for the screws, there are two smaller and one bigger hole. Align the larger hole on the filter and the base, and the tiny plastic bit and the spring go in to the larger, along with the hollow and larger screw.

A black piece fell out of my brew unit while cleaning it and I don't know where it goes or how to put it back in. Help!

I assume you mean a 5cm by 5cm squarish piece of black plastic. If so this is the part of coffee chute. When looking at coffee machine from the front it goes on left hand side of the brew unit about half way up. You slide it on below the start of the chute on the brew unit and essentially it extends the chute. It can be installed upside down. If it's fitted correctly if it looks like a 'W' when the brew unit is viewed from left hand side. If fitted incorrectly it looks like an 'M'.

Cuisinart grind and brew pot - door holding filter pops open during grinding/brewing.

There is a little cover over a spring. The loops of the spring go inside the screw that holds the cover. The spring ends are against the wall and a small pin connected to the button on the side. Keeps the button locked. Cleaning out dried coffee in the are may help and pam spray may keep it from sticking.

I was cleaning the water tank and i accidently knocked out the spring, tiny black plastic stopper and the white rubber washer, please could you help me put it all back together again, hopefully this can be...

Hi!

I've got the same problem and I managed to solve it.
So you have to put the plastic stopper to the buttom of the water tank in way that the wider end is down. You must hang the spring on the plastic stoppers narrow end so it would be placed between the water tanks bottom and the plastic stopper. Then you have to place the rubber washer from inside the water tank on the plastic stoppers narrow end. So would look like the following: plastic stopper -> spring -> water tank -> rubber washer

Reassembly instructions

That little screen that lies at the bottom of the bucket needs to be snapped out and the washer replaced. You have to unscrew the bottom, carefully remove the spring loaded lever, ( don't loose the spring) After fishing the lost rubber washer out of the hole, I used a screw driver or other similar item to pop the screen out. ( use care not to poke a hole in screen.) Next replace lever and spring and push the Star ended piece through the bottom and THEN fasten the washer. Replace all excess pieces and it should be fixed provided the washer isn't badly worn. This is the only way I know how to fix it after countless different web pages and searches.

Saeco pressurized portafilter gets stuck in the locked position

No, no... He has a Saeco pressurized portafilter which has a valve that will not allow coffee through when the portafilter handle is pushed all the way to the right. His handle is locking in the rightmost position; this is not a grounds problem.

mjtourig: Can you not just nudge the handle to the left before you pull a shot to unlock it? If it is too clogged for that, try taking your portafilter apart to clean it. You'll have to remove the 3 screws on the bottom, and be very careful the entire time that you do not lose any of the parts (in particular, there is a spring under one of the screws that will want to pop out, and a tiny white plastic thing under that spring...). Good luck!

BrewStation isn't dispensing.

The problem isn't fixed, but given the price of the premiuim service, I'll just buy another coffee pot, probably another brand, since I have had problems with the Hamilton Beach. This is my fourth one, and I love the design, but they just don't last long enough.

I was trying to clean my cuisinart DGB-600 coffee maker. I unscrewed asmall hex screw under the black piece that slides out and a spring popped out. This spring helps keep the filter basket door button...

I think the main problem with this machine is that the grounds fly all over inside when grinding and combine with the steam and hot water and eventually gum up the moving parts. This causes the latch for the filter basket to lose its grip sometimes and the door pops open during the brewing cycle...I was trying to take apart the slides to clean them out and made the mistake of removing the small screw underneath the left slide. Then the spring popped out and it took about an hour to get it back together, very frustrating. I ended up bending one end of the spring into a slight hook with a needle nose pliers so it would catch better on the "nub" that is connected to the side button. The best way I figured out to clean the slides so far is to blast them out with compressed air periodically for preventative maintenance. I use one of those cans normally used to dust off electronics and insert the straw into the slides.
