I just hooked up a pioneer deh-5100ub stereo in my 2004 dodge ram 1500 pick-up using a store bought wiring harness but I cannot get any sound from my speakers now.

Does you truck say Infinity anywhere on a door panel or such? If so you need to make sure that the blue wire from the store bought wiring harness is connected to the amp turn on from the pioneer.

My speakers keep jumping when I got my amp volume on the cd player at 0. My amp is turned all the way down. My speaker wires aren't crossed up. I bought some new audio jacks. Its still doing the same. What...

Ouch.. :) Sounds to me like you've got a DC bleed somewhere.. kinda like when you're checking phasing ona speaker box with a 9volt battery.. I'd try checking the grounds (yer subs will still work if you have a qwerky ground coming off the back of the deck in the dash).. try hooking the amp up direct to the battery and chassis grounding it in a different spot and see what happens.. Also, I had a reciever that would chirp when ya cut it on, and it was a hairline cut in one of the outbound leads grounding on the metal in the dash.. Lemmee know if that works! :)

Stereo quit putting out sound

if it was working, then stopped, it may be a grounded speaker or speaker wire. If a speaker is blown, you may have damaged the internal amplifier. It will need repair.
You may have just hit a tone adjustment button like FIE or EQ where the settings at each frequency are changed based on the source you are listening to. If its not a big deal, pull the radio fuse and wait 5 minutes... or locate the reset button - usually behind the faceplate and start from scratch. This way you will know it wasnt a button pressed on accident

1998 Dodge Ram radio

Well, some how, the wiring for the front speakers didn't get hooked up or hooked up improperly. I assume it is a new cd player? If not, maybe it's the player itself.

Plays radio not cds

You may have Power antenna and amp remote turn on wires switched. Your system may be looking for turn on signal from radio and only gets it when am or fm is on because power antenna wire is hooked up instead of amp turn on signal.

No output from the left front speaker

using your flashlight bulb in one hand, hold the speaker wires to the bulb and then gradually increase the volume. If the bulb lights, the Pioneer is good.
