Question about HP OfficeJet 4215 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer not printing at all

Incoming faxes and copy function deliver blank pages. Cartridge is good. Print head moves back and forth. No error messages. Any thoughts?

    Both the color and black catridges of my officejet 4215 all-in-one were finished and I bought the black just a couple of days ago and the printer was working perfectly until last night when it started ejecting black pages in the middle of a document I was printing. I tried the copier and that too now ejcts blank pages also. Can someone help? I use windows vista.

Though there was no message to indicate toner issues, I changed the cartridge anyway. That must have been the problem. It works now. The old cartridge was 3 years old and, though barely used, may have outlived its quality. Thanks for writing back.

Epson printer error codes


The error code E-90 appears when the print head is not able to move back and forth freely.
If the ink cartridge cover is not completely closed, the print head may have trouble moving back and forth. Follow these steps to close the ink cartridge cover:
  1. Turn off the printer
  2. Lift up the scanner.
  3. Press down on the ink cartridge cover to make sure it is completely closed.
  4. Close the scanner and turn the printer back on.
- or, If the packing materials are not removed, the print head will be unable to move and the error code E-90 may appear on the control panel display. Follow these steps to remove the packing materials:
  1. Turn off the printer
  2. Lift up the scanner to access the printer area.
  3. Remove the tape from the ink cartridge holder.
  4. Close the scanner.
  5. Turn the printer back on

U162 error on black ink cannon printer


This error occurs when printer fails detecting ink level or printer assume that no ink in the cartridge. We cannot use print, copy,scan, and fax function before the problem fixed. It's recommended for you to replace ink cartridge. To continue using the printer without replacing the cartridge we must deactivate ink level detection function. Fax will not print: I connected the fax machine and plugged it in. It sends faxes OK. When a fax is sent to it, nothing comes out. The sending fax doesn't receive an error message, seems like all went...


Does the machine print anything? such as a directory or print when making a copy? I rather suspect it does not. When an incoming fax is recvd does the paper get pulled in and come out blank? If so your problem is with printing (or lack of it). Perform head cleaning. Also make sure the black cartridge still does not have its deal stuck on it. Post again if you still have problem.

My printer is printing blank pages. The test print prints all the colors though. But when I print a document all I get is a blank page. I just installed a new color cartridge.


Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached. To reattach the cartridge, turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head. Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report. Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.

When i recive fax or when i print it just it prints empty page


If the fax is acting like it is printing (print head moving back and fourth) then it sounds like the ink cartridge is clogged. Remove the cartridge and clean with cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. If this helps a little or not at all replace the ink cartridge. If it still prints blank, the print head could be the problem (this is where the ink cartridge goes). At this point it would be cheaper to replace the fax.

HPJ6480 won't print. When I hit print it sounds like it is working and then spits out a blank page. The ink is brand new and it will copy, but not print???


You need to allign the cartridge and clear the print head. To do this you need to follow the following steps :

1. Start > Control panel > printer and faxes
2. Right click on the printers > properties > services
3. Click on clean print cartridge.
4. Now try to print

Printer prints blank pages


Ok, first off, system specs:
- Windows XP Home SP2
- HP PSC 1*** (not sure) Inkjet Printer

In MS Office 2003, when you print a document, the printer spits out a blank page. When I did a test page in the printer settings, the test page printed perfectly fine. And pretty much any other non MS based program prints (tested: AOL EMails/webpages [IE6]).

I reinstalled the drivers and checked for updates...all good. Restarted the PC with printer unplugged and vice-versa.

Cartridge problem of the fax.


Are you saying the fax appears to print but is blank or it does print but is not in a fax form but freestyle with no background format. Changing a cartridge will often upset the apple cart. see if the printheads could do with a clean. Make sure you reset ink level sif your unit does not automatically do this. Try a reset too by turning unit off, unplugging all cables, replugging all and turning back on. Post back if no good.

Print faded after replacing black cartridge Brother 240C


The print heads don't appreciate being out of ink so the Brother printer has sensors to prevent that but the tape defeated that prevention. Maybe more cleanings or maybe a cartridge with printhead cleaning solution will help. Otherwise, I fear a new printer.
