Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Try uninstalling the DVD drive in the Device Manager in the Control Panel, then do a graceful shutdown of the PC. Power the PC back on and see if it finds "new hardware" and installs the driver. I take that you have an Acer Aspire PC.

if you have the installation disc for it you can reinstall the drivers

get the drivers from the internet and update it for your operating system...

Windows can not start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (code 19).

Can you check in device manager to see if the there is an exclamation mark next to your device. GO to control panel>system>device manager.

If there is there may be a problem with the driver for this device. Right click the device and do to properties, click on update driver. If this does not help let me know.
