Question about NEC DS2000 8 Slot Key System Unit (KSU) ( 80001) Phone
We've had the system for 2 years with no problems. However every evening at approx. 5 pm the system shuts down continually and the fllowing message appears on each phone:
"System Start Up In Progress"
This continues all night and we can't resolve the issue. During the "start up" no calls can be made ar received and calls in progress are lost.
There is no such thing as a "Call In Progress" light on any NEC phone system. If you are talking about the Message Waiting light you will need to handle the message, or cancel the forwarding or do Feature 99 Feature.

To set the system Time:
3. Dial two digits for the hour (24 hour clock, 13 = 1:00 PM).
4. Dial two digits for the minutes (00~59).
Speaker to hang up.
