SOURCE: E5 error - need to know where drain hoses are

tried to take off the drain hose, but could not get it off the back, only by the disposal. I turned if off and on about 6 times and ran the delime cycle with lots of limeaway. It got the E5 error on the delime cycle, but it worked the next time I tried to run it.
The manual does say to turn it off and on as it drains out the water. Takes a while as it has to heat up the water each time.

SOURCE: what is p3 code on hobart am15 dishwasher

Our AM15 Hobart dishwasher is showing the wrench symbol. Past answers suggested repalcing the thermistor. I did that. Then I did a hard reset on the dishwasher, but the wrench symbol is still there. The water is only getting to 160 not 180. Now what?

SOURCE: I am installing a new

It's likely that the drain pump diverter valve is not closing completely, as you've guessed. If you remove the front panel, you should be able to access the pump assembly. First, try to move the diverter valve manually to see if it's stuck. Second, try to move it from one side of the chamber to the other without obstructions. If you can't, you'll need to remove the pump assembly to check it for foreign materials.the drain valve serves the purpose of diverting the pump water / pressure to either the drain hose or wash arms, depending on what position it is in
Check that the valve is opening.

LXGH E5 Code

I need to check my codes to be positive. And I'll check them this weekend. But, I believe E5 is from excess water in the unit, and so it won't go into rinse and add more water.

First and most common -- the drain hose, at the back of the unit is kinked. The unit gets pushed back against the wall and kinks the line.

Second, your probes are dirty. The ones in the back right corner detect water level. Clean them with a green scrungee even if they look clean.

Good luck - Mike
