You can get one at the following link, they usually have a minimum order of 10.00 as they ship free, but you maybe able to get them to sell you one if you asked what the shipping charge would be. They have them under the RCA parts. You can leave them a email and they respond quickly. Heres the link.

1998 accord wont start after turning it off and starting it almost immediately

yes, and did you tune it up and do all 60 and 100k service points.
spark parts, and filters ? all ?
then its losing spark, check spark quality time number of cylinders.
the PCM will cut fuel if it (thinks?) that spark is bad, this feature (safety) is a spark read back path that tells the ECM/PCM that
spark is good.
so once spark is good, all 4 cylinder. (max) simple tests, (ask)
then its bad fueling, (more simple tests)

do you want us to guess, or explain the simple tests.
some like guessing.
top good guesses are:
1: bad fuel.
2: bad spark (never ever tuned up, this decade)
3: fuel filter packed, fuel pressure very low. or nil. or marginal.
4: wrong gas cap? causes low fuel pressure?

i check spark, then fuel.
to check fuel i fist check pressure, every time.
the squirt test only proves the pump has electr. power, nothing else. I use a real guage to do that., do you have tools and gauges and a volt meter? if not, its all just guessing.

Lopes at idle and pops back threw the exaust

It sounds like you have a fouled spark plug and possibly bad spark plug caps. Try replacing the spark plugs and the spark plug caps. The spark plug caps simply unscrew off of the ends of the wires. You can test them with a voltage meter. They should read 5000 OHM's no higher or lower. Buy NGK brand replacement caps. They are what come standard on your machine and will cost about $5 each instead of $20 each from Kawasaki. Hope this helps.

I own a XG-91D monitor that the screen goes black after about 5 seconds. I found 2-470uF 25V capacitors on the power supply board that were leaky - replaced them but the problem still persists. There...

Replace thee 1000uf caps too. A capacitor meter will not test the ESR ( equivalent series resistance ) of the caps the cap meter will show them to be good but an ESR meter will show then to be bad. Also be sure to use low ESR caps. If you use general purpose aps like from Radio Shack it can damage the board board because of the ESR rating. The temp rating needs to be 105c or the new caps will blow out within a month because of the heat in the monitor case ( No fans ).

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

RCA R52WH74 turns off 3 times

Hello Kira-chan,

You are going to have to take those capacitors out of the Tv and check them on a capacitance tester. Some digital multi-meters have them, but I would suggest using the LC102 by Sencore That way you can check the ESR, and the dielectric absorption of the capacitor. It is my suspicion that these caps are bad, but should be checked before replacing them.

In addition check the BLUE and RED CRTs for cracks around the neck oy the tube, BE CAREFUL.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

The A/C unit is just humming could it be the capacitor

Take a look at the capacitor. If it is swollen, rusty, puffed up on top, or leaking it is bad. Sometimes you cannot tell by looking at it so you can test it. Using a suicide cord attach the aligator clips to the capacitor, Place the cap where if it explodes it's remains won't get on you.
TIP: (check to see if the leads are shorted to avoid any minor explosions.) Plug the cord into a 120 volt outlet for 3 seconds. This charges the cap. Tap the cap on an iron surface to discharge it. If it makes a popping sound it is good. If it does not hold a charge it is bad. Another way is to check it with an analog meter. Set the meter on the most sensitive setting. Touch the leads to the discharged cap. The needle on the meter should hop; reverse the leads and retry it should hop again. That is an indication of a cap that will hold a charge. If the needle never moves of course that is a sign the cap is bad. Also if the needle goes all the way over and stays, that is an indication the cap is shorted and therefore bad. The cap is designed to boost the power to the motor to get it going with multiple windings being powered up at once. As soon as the motor reaches running speed the cap drops out of the circuit and it takes half the power for the motor to continue running at optimum speed. This saves energy.
FYI: The old style shaded pole motors had no capacitor and so they used twice the power to do the same job.

I have a Porter Cable BSV750 generator with no electrical output. How do I test the capacitor?

You need an multi meter, on the ohms scale. Short the two prongs on the cap out, removing any voltage on it. Put your meter to a mid range ohms scale. Touch the leads to the prongs on cap and watch your meter. It should start climbing in value and then go to 'OL' if it's digital. If it's an analog meter(with a needle) it will go all the way over to 'infinite. This means it's good.
If it's bad, it will just read 'OL' or go right to 'zero' meaning it's either shorted or open.
