2008 version has factory reset built in. Hold "exit" on the remote for 10 seconds and a screen will appear that allows you to select "return to factory default"

If nothing else works, connect your TV to a receiver ir an XBOX One or even a ROKU 3 device. Each of these will power on your tv set automatically when you power on the device.

We have LCD 550 Samsung Model# LN32A550P3F bought it 5/5/2008 has worked great until last night it turns on led backlite comes on the melody plays red lite flashes and screen is black we brought another tv...

Don't waste any time on this. Being only 4 months old, it should still be under warranty. Request warranty service or exchange. The power supply module has a problem or the main processing board is telling the power supply to shutdown. In either case, a board change is necessary and should be covered.

Pluged in new LA32R81BDZ LCD Samsung and no plug/play menu ?

Hi,

Initially, have you tried a full hard reset? If not, pls unplug from the mains. Most current devices would reset and revert back to factory default settings (assuming no internal hardware fault) when unplugged for a considerable period of time (from a few minutes to a couple of hours).

Additionally, if you are trying to hook it up as a PC monitor, it has to be manually configured depending if the PC is a laptop or desktop.

Alternately, if you feel that something is really wrong with the unit, it may be to your advantage to return to your dealer for a replacement.

Pls post back for any development(s) or even the lack of it and/or additional information.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How do i find the factory reset?

This model has what is called the "option" menu which is a hard reset of the set. It returns the set to the condition it was when new in the box---on air band on channel 3.

What is reason you want to do the reset? I can tell you how if a good reason.

If this helped you rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free and respond with a comment here.

Hi. I bought a new Samsung LCD Flat Panel TV, model LN52A630. I started playing with different settings and completely messed up, and i cannot set it back. Is there an option that i can use that resets all...

Most TVs have both a consumer menu system and a service menu system. Assuming you stayed in the consumer menus, there maybe a reset or defaults selection. Look around. If you don't find it, use google to locate a downloadable manual for your specific model. An occasional TV resets to default settings if you unplug it for 48 hours. Many have resets in the set menu when you program channels, parental control and time.

Hi! name's wesley. anyways, here's the problem. i just bought a new samsung 32' lcd tv and everything is great except for one thing: when i connect my ps2 to the "av 2" input, the sound comes out...

There is a problem with the AV2 input. Since this is a new set, return it for repair or exchange. DO NOT open it up as that would void the warranty.

Samsung tv

as far as it turning off on its own I would get a fan on it and see if that make a difference make sure that the fan is able to flow around the tv especially through the back of it, if this stops it from turning off then it is an overheating problem
