Press the flag key + r and type "cmd" than type "ping google.com" and press enter. If it shows no errors than open internet explorer, press tools, internet options, click the connection tab, lan settings, and make sure "Automatically detect settings" is checked and "Use a proxy server for your LAN" is unchecked.

I set up the Engenius EAP as a repeater and can connect to it with my lpatop and Iphone. When I try to connect another laptop I have excelletnt connectivity reception, but Internet Explorer cannot display...

Signal is only one part of the complete connectivity problem. Your lack of connectivity is almost certainly due to some other component, such as your second laptop having an incompatible static IP address specified, or no DNS servers specified.
First, ensure your PC is configured for a dynamic IP address. Once you have acquired good signal and connected, check to see that you have received a dynamic IP address. If that works, open IE and type in the numeric IP address if your EPA repeater. If you get a response, the problem is not your wireless connection or local IP address. Now type in the IP address 74.125.19.103 . If you get a response, your problem is that you have no DNS servers specified.

Need basic step-by-step instructions on how to install my router.

To Configure the Router with Internet Access
Connect to one of the wireless router/access point's LAN Ethernet ports, turn off its DHCP server, and give the wireless router a static IP on your LAN:
  1. Connect a PC directly to a LAN port on the wireless router with an Ethernet cable.
  2. Power on the wireless router/access point.
  3. Reboot the PC.
  4. Log in to the wireless router though a browser. (Usually 192.168.1.1, with User Name = admin and Password = password, unless you changed them from the defaults).
  5. Go to the LAN IP menu and disable the wireless access point’s DHCP server by unchecking Use router as DHCP server.
  6. Select LAN IP, and change the IP to 192.168.1.99.
  7. Click Apply to save the settings. You will lose the connection to the wireless router/access point , since its IP changed.
  8. Log in to the wireless router/access point with the URL: http://192.168.1.99
  9. Connect one of the wireless router's Local (LAN) ports to your existing network.
This completes the wireless router/access point configuration.
  • You can now log in to the wireless router/access point at its new address of http://192.168.1.99 and configure wireless features such as WEP and Access Control List
  • UPnP, DMZ, Port Forwarding, and Port Triggering are not used on the wireless router/access point, and it doesn't matter how they are configured.
  1. Configure the LAN IP address to be within the same subnet as your PCs.
    • Take care not to use an IP address already being used.
    • Limit the number of addresses in the DHCP range and assign an IP address outside of the range to the router you want to use as the Access Point.
  2. Disable DHCP on the wireless router/access point.
  3. Connect one of the LAN ports on the wireless router/access point to a LAN port on the Router.
  4. Configure the SSID and any security settings on the wireless PCs to match the wireless router/access point's SSID and security settings.
a. SSIDs must be the same on all wireless devices. (These are case-sensitive: netGEAR is not the same as NETGEAR.)
b. Tip: Make sure the wireless PCs can connect before configuring WEP, WPA-PSK, or other wireless encryption.

XP 1. Click ‘Start’ button (it should be located at lower-left corner of your computer), then click control panel. Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections icon, double click Local Area Connection, and Local Area Connection Properties window will appear. Select ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’, then click ‘Properties’ 2. Select ‘Use the following IP address’, then input the following settings in respective field: IP address: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Click ‘OK’ when finish.
Vista 1. Click the ‘Start’ button (it should be located at lower-left corner of your computer), then click control panel. Click View Network Status and Tasks, then click Manage Network Connections. Please retype user name and password again. After you connected to the access point by web browser, the first thing you see is ‘Status and Information’ page. All system and network related information of this access point will be displayed here. The information is very helpful when you want to know the detailed information of your access point, and when you try to fix the communication problem between this access point and other wired / wireless computer / devices. You can click ‘Home’ on the left, This access point can be operated in different modes; you can click ‘Basic Setting’ to select an operating mode you want to meet for different needs: You can click ‘Mode’ dropdown menu to select operating mode, and there are 3 operating modes available: AP Access point mode, allows wireless clients to connect to access point and exchange data with the devices connected to the wired network. Station- Infrastructure Enable the Ethernet device such us TV and Game player connected to the access point to a wireless client. Universal Repeater This product can act as a wireless range extender that will help you to extend the networking wirelessly. The access point can act as Station and AP at the same time. It can use Station function to connect to a Root AP and use AP function to service all wireless clients within its coverage. You can hopefully figure it out from there.
