Question about Lands Phones

1 Answer

I need to reactivate my uniden cordless phone with remote extra handset. It was on a second phone line in my home, and that phoneline has been cancelled. Now, both units are charged, but and plugged into phone line, but there is no dial tone. I have two other remote phone lines in other rooms that are working, including another answering machine, but they are old, and I want to switch to new uniden phones.

    Hello,

The model number for the dual-handset cordless phone is

DXA14588-2 for the base station. The extra remote came with the phone - the only thing it says it DC IN 9V on the bottom of the charger.

Since the uniden is new, I want to use it as my main answering machine, but I don't want to disconnect the old Panasonic until this one is live. The headset on the Panasonic was given a bath in the dog's waterbowl by a toddler, so it is dead but answering machine works. I also have another Panasonic without answering machine that is the only working cordless in the house, so I don't want to unplug it either. Please asvise sequence.

    Thanks

    Hello, 2 questions:

    1. Can you provide the model number of the base station?

    2. Is the extra remote the same model as the unit in the base station?

Resetting and registering the handsets is a little different for each model type.

    Thanks

This should get the job done for you!

To re-register DXA14588-2 handsets:

  1. Pick up the handset from the base. Press and hold [find handset] on the base.
  2. While holding [find handset], place the handset in the base. The charge/in use LED on the base begins to flash, indicating the base is registering the handset. Wait for at least five seconds.
  3. Pick up the handset from the base and press [talk/flash]. If the display shows TALK, the handset is registered. If not, place the handset in the base to try again.
  4. Press [end].
  5. Place the next handset in the base and wait for at least five seconds. No need to hold [find handset] this time.
  6. Repeat steps 3 - with any other handsets you have.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Good Luck!

Can i add 3rd handset to uniden xs 1455+1 cordless phone

if you can get the exact model as the existing hand set it should not be a problem
just follow the installation process to get the base to recognize it so that it connects

Tip

Connecting extra handsets to main base

Call your phone, while it is ringing put your extra handsets on the main base. I did this and they started to ring when on the base and they worked after that. You may not need to call the main line, only put the extra handsets on the main base to get them connected but I didn't try this so I don't know.

I need the remote access code to call and get messages when I am not at home

Since you didn't specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 system I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning at http://www.uniden.com/owners-manuals/dect-phones/scat/dectphones_mnl to download a copy of the manual.

Uniden TCX905 cCordess phone Handsets # 3 and 4

If the handsets are not currently registered to any base, the SYSTEM RESET menu won't appear.

If the TCX905 handsets in question are actually expansion handsets from another Uniden Phone System, they are not true TCX905 handsets. To verify, remove the battery cover and battery, then look at the inside label. If it lists the model of a TRU9xxx phone system, your handsets are NOT TCX905.

Uniden unfortunately has programmed the expansion handsets from SINGLE LINE TRU9xxx phone systems to NOT REGISTER against the TRU9466. (Those same handsets register fine against predecessor model TRU8866 though).

Phone won't register

Try this,

remove the battery from each of the handsets that will not register for about 30 seconds. Reinstall, and try to register the handsets.

I had the same problem, and this is how I got it to register.

Reply back if this worked.

PLEASE REGISTER!!!!!!!!!!

You may need to "reset" the whole system1.gif. Do this by :
1 Unplug phone line, power to charger base, and remove the batteries.
2 Wait a couple of minutes.
3 Plug in batteries first, then phone line, and finally the power cord.

Then try to set the phones in the basecharger to register.
