Hi If the cursor is stuck/frozen when we use the touchpad it can be solved by the following method. Switch off the laptop, disconnect it from power, remove the battery and keep pressing the Power switch for 30 seconds.
Then reconnect battery and the external power in that order and power on the laptop. the cursor will be moving again.

Look on top the acer there is a botton for your touch pad which allows the mouse to work check to see if you might have push it by accident.
Try clicking on the fn, f3, or f7 key to unlock it. It sounds like it's locked. Different functions keys work for different kinds of computers. It should have a keypad emblem with an x across it.
If you type in Administrator, and press enter, then it should bypass your password.
