If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers or

Need to know the default resolution for this card

There is no default resolution on graphic cards, only on LCD monitors - on CTR ones there's a preferred resolution.
This card does its best at XGA 1024×768 when used in regular 2D tasks like Office.

Do you have the installation software for the ATI Radeon X300 or know where to get it?

Hello,

Updates and drivers are always available to your video card's manufacturer.

ATI is now owned by AMD.

Visit AMD's site and select your component by Category which is Graphics.

Plug in Tv and use monitor as well?

enable the second device by rt clicking on the desktop, and go to properties then display, click on the second device and click on enable. that should allow you to run them both, as long as your card allows it, which it should if it has 2 outputs

Drivers

Hi Brisas,
The Gigabyte video card uses ATI's chips (heart of the card). It shouldn't matter that you install a newer driver for the Radeon X300 series video card. It is backwards compatible.
In other words it still will run with Win98SE.
Latest X300 series video driver, click on the link.
http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=xp/radeonx-xp

If you realy think you need a driver for Win98SE than download a older version for the radeon card. The link below is very old & may still run you're X300 SE video card. Click on the link. (Take you're pick of old radeon drivers).

Good luck!

I won two ati sapphire x1950pro graphics cards but don`t know if my system can deal with them.

Man Great win you have some kick-A$$ cards but I am sorry to say your current MB does not support crossfire video cards. But if this a store bought system from Packard Bell you should have a Name: ATI Radeon X300 (RV370 SE) that your computer came with. Just to tell you one of these bad boys will put the Name: ATI Radeon X300 (RV370 SE) to shame if this is what you have in your system.
