The 5E error indicates a problem with the key pad. The microwave computer believes there is a short between the key pad and the central board. You may be able to temporarily reset the error by unplugging the microwave for at least 30 seconds. (In some cases, tripping your circuit breaker may be an easier way to disconnect the power to an over the range microwave.)
Some people have been able to solve the code by cleaning the contacts in the wiring harness. The recommended solution is to replace the assembly control panel (switch membrane, window and control panel). See

Since microwaves have capacitors that store significant amounts of energy, you may want a professional to take apart the microwave and do the repair.
